Las Azaleas
Las Azaleas is Tucson, Arizona’s premier all-female ensemble dedicated to celebrating the rich heritage of Latin music. Founded in 2020 by violinist and vocalist Diana Olivares, the group emerged from a desire to amplify the voices and stories of pioneering women who shaped the genres of mariachi, bolero, and trio music.
Blending traditional instrumentation with contemporary artistry, Las Azaleas delivers soulful performances that bridge the gap between generations. Their repertoire serves as a musical tribute to the iconic female artists of the past, reimagining classic sounds with a fresh, modern perspective.
Since their inception, the group has become a staple of the Tucson cultural scene. Whether appearing on a concert stage or at a private event, Las Azaleas is defined by their technical precision, vibrant energy, and a profound commitment to the evolution of Mexicana music.
